Excellent value, breakfast, room.. The problem with the exchange rate in previous reviews continues: I was charged 130 Taka for 1 US$ ?? Better to quote higher room prices than to cheat with exchange rates.. Honesty first.

The room (6006) was well furnished and clean and the bed was comfortable. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The staff are polite and attentive and many speak good English. The pool water is beautifully clean and I had a few good swims. I also enjoyed the sauna. And I thoroughly enjoyed being able to watch kingfishers and other beautiful birds from the balcony outside the dining room; what a treat! The hot water tank in the bathroom isn’t big enough to fill the bath. It gets about half full, enough to cover your legs but that’s all. I had to boil the kettle a couple of times to top it up. The plug isn’t watertight so the water slowly drains away when you’re in the bath.
I had a room with a view and a balcony, but unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to use the balcony, which was locked. The staff said it would let mosquitoes in but I didn’t see any.
