The trip Tapas organised for us to Lawachara was fantastic. He can also help with train tickets etc.

Beautiful littel place, very clean, the staff is there for you and help with all you might need. Breakfast is made by a local woman and its very delicious. The owner Tapas is a great guy, very helpfull and friendly - you are in really good hands when you stay at Jolpoddo Retreat.

We stayed one night at Jolpoddo Retreat and the experience was truly lovely. The eco lodge is small but beautiful, surrounded by a calm village atmosphere and a stunning lily-lotus pond that makes the stay feel refreshing. Our room was very comfortable, the bathroom was modern and clean, and overall the environment felt cozy and homely. The owners were extremely helpful and professional — they guided us before arrival, arranged transport and planned a fantastic day-long tour for us. We loved that they hired staff from the tea-worker community; the boys were polite, respectful and sincere in service. Breakfast was simple and healthy (ruti, mixed vegetables, egg fry, local banana and tea), and we could request tea as many times as we liked without any extra charge. Their restaurant is around 10 minutes walking distance, and we enjoyed delicious local and tribal dishes for dinner. They even arranged our return bus tickets in advance, which was a great help. Considering the price, everything perfectly matched our expectations. We would definitely love to stay here again on our next visit to Sreemangal. Since it’s a new retreat, some arrangements are still improving, but nothing major that affected our comfort. Everything matched well with the room price and hospitality.
The breakfast quality is quite good. The room was clean, washroom was clean. The environment was quiet and comfortable. The behavior of the staff is pleasant. If we go there again, we will stay here.
